Friends and fans of Olanrewaju Fasasi, who died at the age of 44, gathered for a procession and evening of tributes to the musician known as Sound Sultan.

The procession which was held on Sunday, 18th of July 2021, began on 23 Road in 'Stone Field,' where the late musician played basketball and held music concerts, and continued through 4th, 3rd, and 5th avenues before arriving at the Federal Housing Authority Field (FHA) on 23 Road for the tributes.

Seun Ayeni, CEO of BizzyBody NG, also hailed Sound Sultan as a good person with a beautiful soul. Lane Fasasi, who is also the coordinator of Battle of the Sounds and AmuwoGames, was very supportive of other people's initiatives, according to Ayeni.

Fasasi was a mentor, as well as a humble and selfless individual, according to his colleagues in the music industry.

According to Juwonlo Iledare, better known as Jaywon, a prominent Nigerian singer, Fasasi is both a brother and a father figure.

Furthermore, Dr. Adewale Ayuba, also known as Mr. Johnson, a Nigerian singer, stated that Sound Sultan had a successful career and cared for many new artists. “I dubbed him Mr. Humility, and he treated me as if he were a brother. "He has made his name to become a legend in Nigeria," he said.

Another musician, Adewale Adepoju, also known as W4, stated that Sound Sultan influenced his career and the Nigerian music industry. “He did almost everything for my career and will always be a part of my story,” the self-proclaimed Sound Sultan protege said.

Among the celebrities who attended the #HonorSoundSultan event were one of Nigeria's A-list sound engineers, Indomix, RockSteady, AYzee, and others.

The event's organizers, Emmanuel Davies and Davies Ehimien of Den Visuals stated that the event's goal was to not only celebrate Sound Sultan but also to reveal to the public the hidden aspects of his life. He was "more than an entertainer; he was the music industry's sole philanthropist who cared about everyone," Emmanuel said.
